The pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic drug interaction studies between chemical and herbal medicines could confirm the safety of combined administration of drugs with herbal medicine preparations. In this study, we confirmed the combined use of synthetic pharmaceuticals and herbal preparations, integrating literature, clinical, and non-clinical studies. Assessment of drug interactions and elucidation of the mechanisms of action was confirmed by non-clinical studies. Research on drug interaction targets and mechanisms was assessed by the analysis of human derived materials and systems pharmacology studies. Clinical studies on combined administration were conducted to evaluate drug interactions and safety, and non-clinical studies were conducted on CYP450 and transporter activity and expression. Drug interaction assessment and confirmation of mechanisms of action are in progress. Analysis of human derived materials and systems pharmacology studies were conducted.
